A local Toyota dealer is sending out direct mail advertising disguised as a non-biased newspaper, but without marking anywhere on the mailer that it is an advertisement. It’s misleading to uninformed consumers.

There are no federal laws, and no state that I know of, that has laws regarding the format of mailed advertisements. If there is information in the mailer that states the publication is from them, then it isn’t breaking any laws, even if they’re using shady business ethics.
