The advertisement (Real Message Center) pops up in the notification area each time the computer is turned on, and will remain there until you click the X to delete it. The message is Movies for Rent. This is very annoying, and I would like to remove it permanently. Does anyone know how to remove it?
Thanks.

Horaayy..there are 6 comment(s) for me so far ;)
It’s called adware, and you will need an antivirus to remove it.
run msconfig and uncheck the ‘real’ program from startup
first go to internet options then go to privacy and set it to middle level..also u can go to your browser then block pop ups..also there’s a another way to stop it..go to C: drive and go to document and setting and then go to Administrator (or the name you currently using as a administrator) and then local setting -> Cookies Folder after u reach that folder delete all the Cookies….
It’s to do with Real Player:
If you **** it enough to want to not use it, try Real Alternative instead:
It is NOT virus or any kind of malware. All you need to do is go into your RealPlayer preferences (options) and untick the Real Message Center.
Easy.
You need use a anti-adware tools
I used Okoker IE Security&Pop Up Blocker
You may download it at
