I am using my husband’s e-mail, thus his picture.

To answer your question, the advertising appeared on my computer last Monday. I have advertising across the top of the page and down the left side. I used the chat feature to contact Yahoo help and they said it was a test, then they said it wasn’t on the e-mail only on the home page, then that they were trying to keep Yahoo affordable by having advertising on the page. I then phoned their help line and spoke to a supervisor who told me pretty much the same thing. I also have written a letter to AT&T Corporate Office to register my displeasure. I even contacted the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) who I am told does not regulate the Internet. They suggested I contact the Federal Trade Commission, but I think there is a problem with that. You have to file a complaint. I am also told by a friend of mine who has Yahoo that they do not have any advertising on their e-mail so there must be a way to filter it out. That’s as much as I know right now but hope it helps you. I’m sure there are many, many people who are complaining as I was told by the supervisor.
