How do I prevent advertisement images or pictures from showing on Internet explorer 7?

I already turned off “show pictures” and “play animations” on IE’s tools/internet options/advanced/Multimedia but yahoo still shows advertisement images/pictures and plays the animation yet all other pictures are blank. Only advertisements are showing on the webpage (NOT popups but images on the webpage).

How do I stop advertisement pictures from showing on the webpage? These are NOT pop-ups.

Go to Tools….Manage Add-on..and disable Shockwave and Java.
