How do you send an email to a non-existent address?

I own a small business and advertised on a billboard. We recieved a nasty email about our slogan from someone who I cannot reply to for some reason: noreplynecessary@foryourowngood.com. Is it possible to send an email to this person? How are they able to do this?

There are sites just for this purpose. You can’t reply - and why would you? makes your company look bad. Welcome to the digital age. Delete it, and move on.

They modified the email headers.
