I was just wanting to know what the average salary is for people that are in the marketing and advertising industry?

That is an awfully vague question. There are lots of people who make minimum wage in marketing and advertising. There are some who make millions.

Besides differences in positions, salary also varies regionally. Across the U.S. from the lowest position to the highest it could be $25K to multiple millions.
