How much does it cost to advertise through direct mail?

I’m working on and advertising campaign right now, and I need to know how much it costs to advertise using this method. But I can’t seem to find any posted price anywhere… would I have to contact the company by phone to do so? If so, what companies… and information will be helpful! Thank you! <3

If you make your own flyer it cost for paper envelopes time and a stamp. But if you go through a company then its up to your area and that certain one what there price is? Look at flyers in your area that you recieve in the mail. What adds and call or email that company. It can go buy each zip code that they send to or by areas!! Each zip code that you get have different amonts of people in that area so some are cheapier!!

Postage for basic bulk mail will cost you around 30 cents. You will need to sort the mail by zip code, and you will need to borrow someones bulk permit#

You can get your postage down to 19-20 cents if you have a bulk mailing service address your pieces for you. They sequence the list into “line of travel” so there is a bigger discount. They usually charge for this service..4 to 7 cents) but you still come out ahead…especially when you are doing several thousand pieces.

The printing of your actual items…you’ll want to get price quotes from several printers. Your local printers should be able to do the addressing as well, but you can have any service in the US do it for you.

To make your direct mail effective you will want to take special care to make it as professional looking as possible. The entire assumed value of your piece is going to be made in a couple of seconds and it will be based primarily on how the thing looks. That is the gateway you must pass if you want them to delve further into the content and offer.

If it looks home-made, and cheezy….into the trash it goes.

You should also consider putting an incredible offer into action…you want them to contact you or your money is wasted….you really do need to do whatever it takes to initiate movement toward the first step in the business relationship…otherwise none of the next steps will ever happen…so don’t be conservative. your goal here is to initiate lifetime customers, not make a quick sale.

If your sole purpose is to make people “aware” of your product or service, you will get very little response.
