How much to charge for web advertising on newspaper site?

I am manager of a farm newspaper in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. We are currently looking at selling banner ads on our website. Just curious if anyone knows how much others are charging for these. I’ve heard some talk about anywhere from $10-$40 per thousands impressions or just a flat monthly fee. We are getting around 25-30,000 page views per month. Not a lot but we’re working on increasing that also, so I’m thinking of going more for the cpm method versus a flat monthly fee.

It really depends on you. There are no fixed rate.
If your advertisers are willing to pay, and get a good ROI, then you can fix as high as you want.
