We are starting with <$3000 to cover products, set up costs, operating costs, and distribution. We need to advertise, but don't know if website advertising really is worth the cost. How many customers does it bring? I personally do my best to ignore those things (pop-ups, banners, etc.) but do they work? What do you think? If not, what's the best way to advertise on a very limited budget? Thanks for your input.

There are many factors that will help determine your answer, but yes, digital marketing, if done properly, can improve sales and brand awareness.
Statistically, over 80% of people will begin a purchasing decision with an online search.
If you are brick and motar store with local appeal only, you will want to invest your advertising dollars in branding on a local level.
If you are relying on the internet for sales, start by promoting only your products that are going to produce the best ROI for your advertising dollars. This will make best use of your limited advertising budget.
There are two major phases to internet sales - driving quality traffic to the site, and then converting that traffic into a sale. So your ad campaigns need to tight and your website must funnel your visitors to take the desired action in as few steps as possible.
Honestly this is a very long topic to discuss here, but hopefully you have some idea for direction.

Hi there if you’re just starting out, i would suggest using these ad sources, just to test the waters, before committing more money into advertising. And yes website advertising is worth the cost, if you know what you’re doing, and don’t advertise in places where your ads will be ineffective.
I’m including a few sources to check out, and if you need any other assistance, i’ll be happy to answer them, just send me a mail to, with “web advertising” in the subject line, and i’ll do my best to help.
Thanks.
