When you buy an insertion order, it seems like you can buy “lines” what does that mean in online advertising? Is it a an allocation of part of the budget for a particular campaign? If it is an allocation of part of the budget for a campaign, then why do advertisers use lines? Is it to run different advertisements against different demographics?

people are charged on a “per line of the page” of a newspaper ads.. same with online ads.. you are charge on the number of lines on page of the screen … so the more line sentence you insert, the more they charge…

so this means ..the “lines” are the amount of words that can fit into one line of page
