What is the difference between Advertising Design and Advertising and Marketing Communications?

Im looking to apply to a college, however cant really decipher the difference things each major would do. Thanks for any input!

My best guess - if it is like when I went to college.

Advertising Design will deal with Graphic Design, Computer Art, Illustration, Printing and so on.

Advertising and Marketing Communications deals with Ad Campaigns, Research, Psychology, Business and Product Marketing and so on.
