i got a hoodscoop from ebay for my car.well the” installation tape” didn’t come w / it as advertised .no response (email) by seller. it is 54″ long 30″ wide .what type of 3m am i supposed to use? there are so many different types and numbers on the packages.

3M double sided tape for moldings I would imagine.

You are looking for a double sided black body moulding tape. It’s availible at your local parts store.

this if funny…i have never heard of tape holding on a hood scoop….please forgive me for laughing…
real hood scoops are riveted and then molded in

Tape will NOT hold on the hood scoop. Since ther is no where for the air to go once it enters the scoop, you will get very high preasures under there. You need to pop rivit to the hood. That is the only way to do it without loosing it off your car on the freeway.
