do a search on direct mail lists. When I ran a restaurant delivery service I used the yellow pages. I was able to narrow down the list to
- people living withing 2 miles
- making over 100k a year
- own there house or condo.

There are many ways to narrow the list. You need to decide who your customer is before you order.

This is not cheap. These companies spend a lot to create the lists and keep them accurate. You should mail to a small portion of the list to test the list and the advertisement you are sending out. The list could be bad or the list could be good but you offer is not something that makes customers out of the people you send to.

You should also realize that a person often has to see your ad many times before they act. The response rate of 2-3 per cent is considered great and 1 per cent is not bad.

A different place you may want to try is ValPak. These are coupons that are bundled together in a package. I had great response with ValPak and it cost less than the postage alone would have for a direct mail piece.

I used to print cards, labels, and stamp them until I found out the Post Office would handle the card, the postage, and print my addresses from my DB on the card. Faster and cheaper than I could…..
You might want to check them out.
