A pop-up blocker only blocks pop-ups when you are browsing the Internet whereas when you are viewing mail you are not browsing.

Download the FREE Google tool bar. It has THE BEST pop-up blocker out there + free version of Google earth, Gmail , etc. If these pop ups are in the body of the email, that would be spam, so report the content as spam, then your email spam protection knows not to allow that the next time.

1. On the Outlook Tools menu, click Options.
2. In the Options dialog box, click the Preferences tab, and then click the E-mail Options button.
3. In the E-mail Options dialog box, select the Read all standard mail in plain text checkbox.
4. Click OK to close the E-mail Options dialog box, and then click OK to close the Options dialog box.
