post Category: Yahoo! Mail Beta — admin @ 11:44 am — post

last week when i turned on my computer and checked my email, (it is included with my dsl service, i’m paying for it) i found yahoo is now selling advertising on my email page. they have shrunk my email over to the left of the page and put in advertising on the right side. i am using the “beta” type yahoo. there is no way to close or delete the advertising column. my husband is on the same service but his email is not getting this advertising. is this happening to anyone else? can someone tell me how to get this stopped? free email i could maybe understand, but as i said i am paying at&t for this. they have shrunk the actual email to where the date/time it came in does not even show, so nicely they have given me a bottom scroll bar…ugh.
any suggestions please?
thanks

In order to support unlimited storage space, Yahoo! mail has started placing ads in subscribers’ mailboxes. I, for one, am really unhappy about the placement. Something more discreet would be more forgivable, but this is far from it.
